High Visibility Garments are PPE

High visibility garments are worn to to protect the wearer against hazards by enhancing conspicuity. High Visibility garments are therefore Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Whether used by professionals or by consumers, PPE requirements are regulated by EU directives. All such products must be CE marked. When a product is labeled with CE mark, it means that the product has been found to comply to the basic safety and health requirements of the ”PPE directive” (89/686/EEC).
